Major Professional Contributions:

My major contributions have been in the training of high quality technical man-power covering a wide domain of mechanical engineering to serve the society. The other contributions include advancing the understanding of mechanics of crack propagation through, and fracture of, brittle, ductile and cellular materials and composites. I have also developed several numerical schemes based on finite element method, boundary element method and meshless method useful for stress analysis of components with cracks or damages. Additionally, I have contributed to develop several analytical methods for the health monitoring of variety of machine and structural components based on vibration signatures..
