Major Professional Contributions:

A fellow of INAE and ASME, and a recipient of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and JSPS invitation fellowships, Prof. Mishra is an outstanding academician with a strong passion for research. An expert of thermal radiation, his work is acknowledged worldwide as benchmark on radiation and/or conduction heat transfer. His seminal work on lattice Boltzmann method in analyzing a wide range of heat transfer problems involving thermal radiation is highly appreciated and cited. He has also lead the development of LPG and kerosene cooking stoves with porous radiant burners whose thermal efficiencies are much higher and CO and NOx emissions are much lower than the conventional stoves available in market.
