In his professional career spanning over 47 years, mainly at IIT Madras, Prof.Srinivasa Murthy has worked on Solar Thermal Energy Utilisation, Solid State Hydrogen Storage, Sorption Refrigeration, Building Energy Systems, Heat Pumps, etc. He is a Country Delegate at the Assembly for International Heat Transfer Conferences and Member of the Scientific Council of the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer. He is Executive Editor of the Elsevier International Journal Applied Thermal Engineering. He has edited several proceedings of National and International Conferences in the areas of Heat and Mass Transfer, Refrigeration, Solar Energy, etc. He is the outgoing President of the Indian Society for Heat & Mass Transfer and Vice President of the Solar Energy Society of India. He is the Chairman- MNRE Project Advisory Committee on Solar Thermal Systems, Chairman- MNRE Subcommittee on Hydrogen Storage and Applications; and Member of DST Expert Committee on Clean Energy Research Initiative.
