•Designed new PID controllers for enhanced closed loop performance for stable, integrating and unstable processes
•Designed new PID controllers with lead lag filters for enhanced closed loop performance for stable, integrating and unstable processes
•A new theoretical analysis has been developed to select the closed loop tuning parameter for all IMC based controllers.
•Designed modified Smith predictors with new PID/lead lag controllers for enhanced closed loop performance for stable, integrating and unstable processes with time delays
•Designed two degrees of freedom controllers with new PID/lead lag controllers for enhanced closed loop performance for stable, integrating and unstable processes with time delays
•New control schemes have been developed to obtain improved closed loop performances for cascade control schemes.
•Time delay compensation techniques and cascade control schemes have been integrated in a unified manner to obtain enhanced nominal and robust closed loop performances.
•Designed new time delay compensators in decentralized fashion for MIMO square processes
•Designed enhanced delay compensator for MIMO non-square processes
•Developed an analysis for understanding the nonlinear phenomena of continuous bioreactor, cascade of bioreactors.
•Developed a methodology to optimize removal efficiency of Nitrogen and Phosphorous in Activated Sludge Process
•Achieved optimized conditions for producing bio-surfactant at lab scale..
