Major Professional Contributions:

Prof. Kshitij Gupta contributed significantly towards indigenous aero gas turbine development program for LCA. He developed the theory and codes for dynamic analysis of 2-spool aero gas turbine. His research on 'Composite Rotors' laid the foundation for design of high speed light-weight non-metallic rotor systems. He developed theories for dynamic analysis and optimum design, and proposed an 'All Composite Aeroengine'. His research on integrated application of smart materials (SMA, MRF, piezoelectric patches) for rotor vibration control is directed towards development of high performance intelligent rotors for future applications. His research on cracked rotor diagnostics and condition monitoring is of industrial importance. .
