Prof. Krishna Moorthy Sivalingam has made important contributions to
optical and wireless networking.

Dr. Krishna's work on optical networks include development of
scheduling algorithms, medium access control protocols, performance
analysis of TCP Internet protocol over optical burst switched
networks, routing and wavelength assignment mechanisms, and survivable
traffic grooming algorithms for optical wide area networks. Recently, he has been designing power-efficient optical network based
architectures for passive optical networks and for data center
networks (DCN). His other contributions relate to the
design of energy efficient network protocol design for wireless
networks..
