Industry (Private), Industry (PSUs), R&D Organizations, Government (including funding agencies), Entrepreneurs, Venture Capitalists, Law Enforcement Agencies, Consultancy Firms, Private Agencies, Individuals

Major Professional Contributions:

Very few research groups in the academic world currently work on design, development, and combustion characterization of new propellants, and analysis of the combustion behavior of monopropellants. I have designed, fabricated, and procured the following facilities for this purpose:

  • Rapid thermolysis setup.
  • Slow pyrolysis setup coupled with FTIR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.
  • Droplet combustion setup.
  • Strand combustion setup.
  • Constant volume spray combustion setup.
  • Stationary LOX-gasoline rocket.

Professional Experience:

2010 to current - Assistant professor at IIT Bombay.

Keywords:

combustion, propellants, FTIR spectrometry, mass spectrometry, pyrolysis, emission reduction, ornithopter, waste-to-energy
